Selling Through Masters Saddles — Terms of Service

These terms apply to all saddles submitted to Masters Saddles Ltd for assessment, preparation, commission sale, or resale support through our website, social platforms, or approved channels. By submitting a saddle, you confirm acceptance of these terms alongside the Masters Saddles Ltd general website Terms & Conditions.

Ownership & Authority

By submitting a saddle for assessment or sale, you confirm that you are the legal owner of the saddle or have full authority to sell it. Masters Saddles Ltd may request proof of ownership at any stage of the intake process.

Masters Saddles Ltd may act as an agent on behalf of the owner when arranging and processing commission sales.

Assessment & Acceptance

 All saddles are subject to professional inspection prior to acceptance. Masters Saddles Ltd reserves the right to decline any saddle that does not meet safety, structural, or brand standards.

Pricing discussed prior to inspection is indicative only. Following physical assessment, Masters Saddles Ltd reserves the right to recommend a revised sale price based on condition, market demand, or required preparation work.

Condition & Preparation

Saddles should be presented clean and in good condition. Where significant cleaning or preparation is required, a preparation fee may apply prior to listing.

During assessment, flocking and structural condition will be evaluated. If flocking is excessively compacted, hardened, or unsuitable for safe use, adjustments or re-flocking may be recommended or required before the saddle can be offered for sale.

Any required repairs or preparation work will always be discussed with the owner before proceeding.

Repairs & Specialist Saddlery Services

Repairs & Specialist Saddlery Services
Where repairs or adjustments are recommended, Masters Saddles Ltd may liaise with Masters Saddlers (SMS), an independent saddlery business working in partnership with Masters Saddles Ltd. Masters Saddlers is owned and operated by an SMS Qualified Saddle Fitter and is able to provide quotations and carry out agreed repair work, including full or partial reflocking where appropriate.

All repair work is optional unless agreed in writing by the owner, and any associated costs will be confirmed prior to work being undertaken.

Shipping, Delivery & Risk

The saddle remains the owner’s responsibility until it has been physically received and accepted by Masters Saddles Ltd. Owners are responsible for arranging suitable packaging and insured delivery where shipping is used.

If a saddle is declined following inspection, return delivery costs remain the responsibility of the owner.

Commission & Fees Commission rates,

Health check fees, and any agreed preparation charges will be confirmed prior to intake. By proceeding with submission, you agree to the stated commission structure and associated service fees.

Commission fees reflect the professional assessment, preparation, marketing, and management of the sale process carried out by Masters Saddles Ltd.

Listing & Presentation

Masters Saddles Ltd will present accepted saddles professionally using imagery, written description, and promotion through our website and established rider communities. Final pricing, presentation style, and listing strategy remain at the discretion of Masters Saddles Ltd to maintain brand standards and buyer confidence.

Liability & Fit Responsibility

Liability & Fit Responsibility
Masters Saddles Ltd provides professional guidance and safety assessment; however, saddle fit and performance cannot be guaranteed once the saddle is sold and used by another rider or horse. Responsibility for ongoing fit rests with the purchaser.

Payment to Sellers

Payment to Sellers
Payment to sellers will be issued via bank transfer following completion of the sale process and clearance of any applicable return or trial period. Timescales may vary depending on the nature of the sale.

Withdrawal or Declined Saddles


Masters Saddles Ltd reserves the right to refuse or withdraw any saddle that does not meet inspection standards or where undisclosed structural faults are identified. Where a saddle is withdrawn or returned at the owner’s request, reasonable administration or return delivery costs may apply.
