Have your saddle professionally checked from top to bottom for safety, comfort, and long-term soundness.

Buying a second-hand saddle can be worrying — hidden issues such as broken trees, hard or uneven flocking, or worn girth straps aren’t always obvious. A full saddle health check gives you peace of mind before you ride.

I offer a thorough workshop-based inspection, complete with photographs and a written report highlighting any areas that may need attention. If repairs are required, these can be discussed and arranged separately.

What’s included in a Saddle Health Check

• Full inspection of the saddle
• Panel inspection and dropping
• Tree integrity check
• Stitching check
• Stirrup bar check
• Reassembly of the saddle
(If a tree is found to be broken, I reserve the right not to reassemble the saddle for safety reasons)

Important information

Saddle health checks are carried out in the workshop and typically take a couple of hours to complete.
They are not carried out on-site at yards due to the level of work involved.
